The Warrior

As you all will know, Jed has recently landed the worlds first quad flip so amazing. However I thought I'd share a picture I snapped from early 2010 of Jed's first double flip. Only took him 5 years too multiply this by 2.

From the Archives

So haven't been shooting much lately so thought I'd post some more pic's from my archives, freshly scanned tonight from one of my photo albums, taken around 2000-2001 theres a couple from X-Air Hamilton in 2000 and a few of one of my old trails spots, 17th Ave Tauranga.

Steve Mc Cann, huge transfer from the quarter to flat-bank, this was huge and he throws in an unturndown for good measure. Photo by Warren Fryer.

Michael Perkins, another ripper from Australia, flip X on dirt. Pretty sure he did a quad barspin on park that year also. Photo by Warren Fryer.

These last pic's are of an old trail spot that Tim and Adam Shackleford, Leif Nicol and I built in Tauranga on 17th Ave, we used to ride that place every day, location was so good close to home, town etc, no trees though so that was a let down, still, gotta make do with what you got. By the time the council moved us we had 15 or so jumps with a roll-in built out of pallets. We also had Tim who was one of the most motivated diggers I've ever met, I think he might even give old mate Caleb a run for his money, anyway a few pic's of Tim and myself doing a few stunts. Photo's by Adam Shackleford.

From the Archives

These pic's were taken in 2002, digital cameras were pretty new then, you were pretty flash if you had one, a decent one anyway. We managed to acquire one to take photos of our travels with Haro and Vodafone, these are some of them.
Not sure on photo credits, could of been anyone.

Tim Shackleford, at Putararu bowl. Tim had style flowing out his ears, and one of the most motivated diggers I've ever met, its so daunting starting a new set of trails but not for Tim he proved that to me (sadly) on more than one occasion.

Pretty sure nac nac's were illegal back then, seem to be pretty fashionalble these days. Digger with a classic on the old Victoria park box.

NZ bmx legend Phil Irwin on his and another NZ legend Mario Petkovic's backyard mini, real nice ramp. Hard to beat a good backyard mini, other than some good trails in the woods of course.

Josh Harrington, at a Haro show in Wellington.

Another show in Aotea Square Auckland, Paul Needham and just out of frame another bmx legend, the mighty "Grub" twin fast plants.

From the Archives

Haven't been shooting much lately, so thought I'd post some pic's from my archives. First pic of a crew at ATK park, MT Manuganui, taken by Stefan Hawk of stephanhawk.com in 2006 just after the park opened and the final jam at Shed Seven. Last 3 are from the 2003 (from memory) X Air in Wellington, photos by Grant Adams, still think it was better in Hamilton though, although I am biased.

Few riders at the park don't see that very often, or at all.

 Cory Bohan, casual 3

Over-view of the dirt course and the amazing, Redbull Vert, that thing was just scary to look at, vert riders are a breed of their own, so sick that it was indoors.

From the archive

Haven't been shooting much lately, so thought I'd post some old skool pics.
Enjoy.

Jason Harris, footjam, before they were fashionable.

The Legend himself Grub, to fakie.

Greeny, tiretap barspin.

Warren G Fryer, when he wasn't doing the thankless job of managing the team he would have a roll with us

Bit of a poo stance X by yours truly, taken at the 2nd X-Air by Clint Millar

Paul Needham, Canadian on my old backyard Mini.
Front brakes even!!

Stefan, tree ride Melville bowl Hamilton.

Pretty sure this pic was on the cover of NZ's only BMX mag (so far) Deadsailor. James "Marv" Martin, roof gap TGA

T White at Barrys point rd Trails, those jumps used to blow my mind. Photo by Warren Fryer

Tim Shackleford, at our old local trails on 17th Ave TGA

Needham boosting, before BDO had a brain freeze and took the vert away, that was always one of the best shows of the year.

Chis Fell, another BDO. What ever happened to this guy, I'd like to know....
He was very good, crazy to watch but very good.

Flash back

This clip is crazy had it sitting on my harddrive for ages so thought I'd share it.
The two rider's are Paul Needham and Jason Harris riding in a Haro demo in Whanganui
in 2000 (I think)
I was a nana and refused to ride because it had just been pissing down with rain so I filmed,
wet grass, wet ramp, no barriers, bmxer's and loads of kids equals madness......
