Happening

If you've known me for a while you'll know I once had an indoor ramp setup called Shed Seven, well now I've sold all the ramps (well more like 1 ramp) to a local rider, Adam Rae. So we've started re-building it in his backyard, stage one build the mini, stage two add the bowl corners and the hip. Here's some pic's of the progress so far.

Stage one underway, stage two when we get more piles in the ground

If you've never rode this ramp before, you will want too.

Headed up the woods today for a dig with Henry, no leaves left on the trees winter is well and truly here.

Couple of pic's of my new ride! Pilgrim Unit.

Pancake sticker..... send me an email if you want a few (stickers that is) and I'll sent you some.

17th Ave Comp

There,s a comp coming up soon, on the upgraded 17th Ave Skatepark. Take the word "upgraded" lightly, although it is an upgrade its just the same park but concrete now instead of dodgy ply.
Should be a good day though check out the flyer.

The Warrior

Jed sent me though an email with an update on his trip, not much riding going on for me a the moment so you'll have to settle for this.
Cheers Jed.

"Hello everyone,

Here is a little update on my trip so far..

I landed on the 8th June so happy! I rested for a day at Lukes then headed out to Woodward West 1st thing the next morning with my bro Launching Lanc. We got there I signed up with my insurance number lol then hit it! I hit the 50ft and 60ft couple times each then went and had lunch in the camp. Went back after straight into the comp and hit the 70ft bout 4times. I have attached the link for the comp. I have 1 clip in the video about 3rd to last =)

I got home to Lukes that night sweet as... woke up in the morning with a reeeeal bad tweak in my shoulder.. so saw but I couldnt even remember crashing hard on it.. went to the doc for treatment and he gave me a solid 2 weeks off =( I did bail a double flip the day before on the 70ft! Its kinda all catching up, its good just gives me reason to rest! What better place than in the hot Cali sun!!!

We went shopping a few days latter and I brought this Nikkon D3100 with 2 lenses a memory card and a bag! Its a SLR and a 1080p hd movie camera ooooooooooooooooooolala stoked! Be ready to shoot mad stuff when I get home Hemi!! enjoy my 1st shots haha ill get better!!! love it..

Hope alls well and I look forward to getting shots and vids of me to you all... for now we have started prep for Dew Park round 1 Beach City, Meryland..

Tribute

So, as you probably already know, along with the rest off the world. On the 28th of May 2011 BMX history was made, Jed Mildon landed the worlds first triple backflip, hes come along way since the 2002 X-Air, Jed walks up to me and says "Carl bro I just landed my first backflip" I was pretty for stoked for him then, Then he proceeded to land his first and NZ's first Backflip Tailwhip the next day in park (very impressive). Now, 5 million hits on utube the man has become a legend, (I already thought he was but thats another story) and an invite to the X games, doors will be opening now!
Congratulations Jed and good luck in America, you've put NZ bmx on the map, proud of you bro, nothing will even come close to being that awsome, apparently theres a Rugby world cup in NZ this year....... "Allblacks"........who are they?

Yeah NZ bmx.

Heres a montage of some of my favorite pics of Jed, I've taken over the last few years.
