Winter is upon us leaves are falling, digging season has begun. Managed to get an ANZAC day roll on the trails. Trails were running super good, even after all the rain we have had lately. C-Town locals Paul Langlands and Hugh Wotherspoon made the trip over for the day along with part time local Nathan Saunders from Rotorua. Even had a cameo appearance from the elusive Gold Factor. Rad day in the woods with a good crew. Got the camera out to film some clips and make this video, enjoy.

More trails

Another edit from Summerhill Trails. Good jam up the woods on Saturday, just a few of the locals were present and I was off the bike, so I actually managed to capture some half decent footage. Also managed to build a sweet retaining wall for the new soon to be built dirt quarter. Enjoy

Summerhill Trails

Rad jam up the woods the other day, been quite a while since the trails have been running this good and even longer since I have had anything worth posting on this blog ( I don't use Facebook so feel free to share around). Thanks to a solid crew of diggers, Jaye Riddle, Phillip Callard and Conner Knox we have managed to get a couple of lines going. In between riding I managed to film some clips and put this together, sorry for the average quality but I had to use what I had. Cheers to all the riders that made the trip for what was a good chill trails jam. Cheers.

The final round of the Summer Street Series went down on Saturday. Good turnout of riders and everyone was killing it, haven't been to a jam at Melville for years, was good to catch up and ride with some old school riders including two legends Grub and Alex Reid. A great day for sure.

Big shout-out has to go to Micheal Reid for organising and running these events, good stuff Mikie.

I managed to film some clips and put this edit together, enjoy.

Not from the archives

First post for a while, been so busy/slack on it. Although I should have more regular content now Summer is upon us and there will be plenty of shredding to be done.

I managed to catch up with a NZ BMX legend, Grub. If you don't know Grub, he was one of the top riders around, and has the ability to make anythng funny, never a dull moment thats for sure.

Grub was one of my biggest influences on riding when I was growing up (still haven't really, just thought I'd add that before you thought it) so it was good to catch up. He has recently bought a new bike so we headed down to our old local the infamous "Melville Bowl" for a carve. Couldn't help myself and had to film a few clips, theres a few tricks in there you may not have seen before including Grubs signature stunt the "no-footed half-bar". Check it out.

A Flawless Session

I managed to get to Taupo on the weekend for a jam that Hemi Mildon was involved in organising. The weather held out for what was a good days riding, highlights for me would have to be Hugh Wotherspoon for going higher than everyone, Jon Riddle super consistent and smooth riding, Joe Simpson flipping the Taupo spine don't think many people have done that and of course the after party. I managed to film some clips and threw this edit together, check it out.

"Dare Devils All Day BMX Team spono edit. Created filmed produced and stared in by Michael Reid .
The film was created in the time spent not riding my bmx due to the recovery from a huge wrist reconstruction which left me unable to ride for 15months from Dec 2011, in this time spent recovering i was able to film all of my local friends and riders doing what they do best over the year of 2012 and 2013 and as my recovery was coming to a end i myself was lucky enough to get some clips in.
